Krylic paints HPWP – new generation water based acrylic elastic long life water proofing coating for use with and without a woven membrane for sealing roofs from water penetration
- Krylic paints HPWP is a coating material, which prevents water penetration into the substrate. Applied in several layers and strengthened with a suitable woven material it forms a thick protective membrane for roof sealing.
- This is available in 6 popular roof shades as well as white.
- This product is based on a highly flexible and water/weather resistant acrylic resin emulsion.
- Applied to specification it seals concrete roofs and prevents water penetration.
- This product remains highly flexible for years even after extended exposure to the environment.
- Besides its main use on concrete roofs, this product can be successfully applied on galvanized sheeting, roofing felt and fibre cement.
- This product is ideal for repair work on roofs such as sealing nail heads, leaking flashings and repairing damaged or cracked roofing felt.
- Can be used on window ledges and to seal parapet wall tops.

- Cement tiles (new or weathered), fibre cement sheeting (new or weathered), plaster, previously painted substrates.
- Primed metal and wooden substrates.
- Flat cement/concrete roofs/wall tops.
- Seal nail heads and roofing bolts.
Spreading Rate
1-2m2 per 1 litre
Although the spreading rate will vary with porosity and type of substrate, for uncoated new surfaces work on 0.5-1m2 per litre for the first coat and 1-2m2 per litre for subsequent coats and for when applied to sealed, previously painted substrates.

Always stir well before use with a flat paddle.

Thinning
This product is ready for use un-thinned. Thinning with water will reduce its hiding power.
Cleaning
Application equipment clean-up is with clean tap water.
Application
- Stir well before use.
- With brush or roller, apply a generous/thick coat of Krylic Paints HPWP to the area that needs protecting in small manageable sections.
- Firmly and evenly press a layer of woven fabric waterproofing membrane such as Biddim into the wet layer of Krylic Paints’ HPWP
- Allow to dry 4-6 hours before recoating.
- Apply a second, third and possibly a fourth generous coat, waiting 4-6 hours between coats, until the membrane is totally saturated and the surface has an even and very noticeable high sheen.
- This product is ready for use un-thinned. Thinning with water will reduce its hiding power and effectiveness
- Three to four coats of this product are used for best results.
- Application equipment clean-up is with clean tap water.
- Do not apply before 09:00am and after 16:00pm in the winter.
- Do not apply exterior if it looks like rain will occur within 4-6 hours of application.
