10-Year EXT-INT WB Enamel

A new generation, water-based, 100% acrylic, long-life, Interior/ Exterior High Sheen coating. Meets Most of the rigorous requirements of SABS 1586-Grade.1

  • The coating surface is smooth and high sheen in appearance.
  • Highly washable – comfortably meets the requirements of the very harsh SABS and ASTMS scrubs resistant test methods.
  • The high sheen surface prevents dirt pickup and makes it easy to clean.
  • Can be cleaned with any household detergent and by scrubbing if required.
  • Excellent adhesion.
  • Low odour.
  • Two coats of the product are applied for best results.
  • If correctly applied to a properly prepared substrate, the product has a life expectancy of 10 years, possibly longer.

Application Areas

  • Exterior or interior use.
  • High traffic areas that need a highly washable and durable coating in a wide range of colours.
  • Plaster, hardboard and fibre cement walls.
  • Primed metal and wooden substrates.
  • Window/door frames, skirting boards, fibre cement, galvanised gutters and down pipes, PVC pipes, fibre and hard board panels.

Spreading Rate

8-10 square metres per litre.
Although the spreading rate will vary with porosity and type of substrate, for uncoated new surfaces work on 7-9 square metres per litre for the first coat and 9-11 square metres per litre for subsequent coats and when applied to sealed, previously painted substrates.

Acrylic resin emulsion

Drying Time

Touch dry: ± 60 minutes Hard dry: 5-6 hours

Mixing

Always stir well before use with a flat paddle.

Application Method

Brush, roller

Thinning

This Product is ready for use un-thinned. Thinning with water will reduce its hiding power.

Cleaning

Water.

Application

  • Stir well before use.
  • Two coats of the product are applied for best results.
  • With brush, Mohair roller or airless spray, apply a generous coat of the product.
  • Allow to dry 5-6 hours before recoating.
  • Apply a second generous coat of the Product.
  • Do not apply before 09:00am and after 16:00pm in the winter.
  • Do not apply exterior if it looks like rain will occur within 4-6 hours of application.
  • This product is ready for use un-thinned. Thinning with water will reduce its hiding power.
  • Clean up application equipment with clean tap water.
